Books I'm Reading
These are some of my recent reads, along with why I enjoy them. Let me know if we have favorites in common!
Chris is my favorite of the guys after reading this book. Swoony and willing to step up and help with kids that aren't his? Yes, please.
Me! I like it Scot! No surprise, Pepper Basham's latest is a delight. The Scottish setting is magical. Katie's journey to finding a place to belong, and people to belong with, is so relatable. As is her difficulty in resisting the #hotscot in her life. Graeme is definitely swoon-worthy, what with his heroic tendencies and his accent.
As a cancer survivor, I am thrilled at the representation of a bald character struggling with her self-esteem because of appearance differences. Losing your hair is so traumatic, and Sarah Monzon handled the topic with gentleness and grace, and gave readers a strong character to look to for encouragement and inspiration.
